Workshop on Energy Efficiency in the Industry

On 18 November 2024, a virtual workshop on energy efficiency regulations in the industry took place. Participants came from the Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, EcoTraders, the German Energy Agency and AHK Israel. The aim was to discuss regulatory measures for energy efficiency in the industrial sector, the requirements for energy audits in the respective countries, the enforcement of regulations, and the challenges of data reconciliation.

The Israeli side was particularly eager to learn about policies and the regulatory framework existing in Germany and the EU. The German side inquired particularly about the state of digitalization for obtaining and analyzing data.

It was a mutually enhancing meeting which lay the foundation for further and deepened exchange in the future.
